Cheapo battery amps at HOLIDAY time

I have the VOX ac1 Rhythm-- and it sounds decent-- it has rhythms (drum beats) and is a crap load of FUN for the $

I love my Blackstar stack!

Ive owned -- or OWN most of these things over the last few years---

I agree the blackstar for the $ is REALLY good

These things give me a earache! I really can't stand to play through one...I'd rather play my guitar acoustically!

If I had to have battery power I'd have to move up to something like this.

...I have no idea what she is saying, but she plays guitar and says "Knobs".

Ive ALso had the VOX battery versions of the Cube

IMHO the Roland slays the VOX for usable real world tone --- and when you add a 12" cabinet to the mix the Roland HOLDS up the little vox (at 3 watts) just cant push the speaker at all

THough the Vox does have its place-- for the same money the Roland just sounds fuller

I saw that VOX too.
I have been wanting a battamp for Craigslist type local meet transactions.
I would grab it but have money into an amp build right now.

WGS Veteran 10" should be at my door today!!
I hope to have a typical jtcnj re-purpose cab done by Christmas for it too!!

I like the small ones because I'm getting too old to cart around full stacks... except maybe the Marshal...

But if the show is a larger venue, I can turn to the micro-mini...

I know it's not battery powered, but the underlying essence of the thread is "small amps...?

Again, not battery powered, but still a sizable mini power packer is this baby...

I have done several shows with this and it does everything I need. The 50W is very powerful!
